Taking the Stage: Backstage that is....

(Clears Throat): While I listen to Little Brothers "The Listening" I think about the show that I just watched. After the Season Finale of ABDC and Quest Crew's victory MTV decides that the show they are going to replace ABDC with would be "Taking the Stage"...(Silence for a second please)....

A little intro about the show before I begin the MASSACRE!!

Well, after searching for what the show is actually about...I found nothing...So, I am guessing that the show is about a group of high school students going through the ups and the downs of high school foolishness such as dramas between cliques and popularity contests (Sounds like college) and they are all At the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati (C.P.A.C makes me feel 1 percent better about the show with the 4 letter acronym). Ok...(ARE YOU READY!!!!)

First a note to MTV...if you are going to replace a show like Americas Next Best Dance Crew...WHY IN THIS WIDE GREEN FRIGGIN EARTH WOULD YOU REPLACE IT WITH A SOFT MIX OF STEP UP 2 AND THE HILLS!!! This show had to be the most excruciatingly boring show that I have watched in a very long time (with an exception for the child-like battle in the cafeteria and the Talent show where Black Rain placed before Jasmine and her crew!! Quite hilarious!). There is nothing remotely moving, tight, deep, or worthwhile about this show. I am assuming MTV did not think this show all the way through before it made it to syndication (Advertising knowledge son!) They were probably like "YEA A SHOW ABOUT BLACK KIDS DANCING THAT WILL GET EM ON OUR SIDE..." one time for DOUG WILLIAMS...LOL! (Watch the Jamie Foxx roast and you will get it...)

The first episode was about the school talent show! I will note before I can continue that Mia the female acoustic guitar player/singer has a great voice and is definitely destined for fame and startum. She dates a JERK OFF named Aaron (watch the show and you will get it...he is pretty hilarious for such a COLD Character.) The drama begins as Jasmine invites Tyler to her dance practice where he gets chewed out by the Preying Mantis (think about it) and pretty much gets told to leave...although he was invited by Jasmine. This leads to the cafeteria scene where they have the WORST DANCE BATTLE IN MTV HISTORY (ABDC COME BACK!!) and this foreshadows the talent show that occurs later that night. Oh yea, Tyler starts a crew called Black Rain...(because they are black and they make it rain for the HO's!! lol!!)...ne who Talent show that night goes down and The Preying Mantis and his crew dances to their rendition of disturbia (What up Rihanna Hows the face!! lol...okay im sorry)which was pretty DECENT and BLACK RAIN and there crew did a WEAK PERFORMANCE...but...when the winners are called BLACK RAIN takes 2nd and Preying Mantis goes home shamed!! Pretty funny if you asked me!! They were saying they were gonna MURK it...which they did...but OH WELL!! LOL!

I think Kris Kross would describe this show as "WIGGITY WIGGITY WIGGITY WHACK!!!" I wish this show the best but its a pretty DULL replacement for ABDC. (Mario Lopez Voice): will Taking the Stage heat up and start bringing better reviews or will they be going BACKSTAGE for the next few seasons...Well, I digress bloggers...You might feel like this show is a lot better than I have rated it...but none I will keep watching if I have the time to see how much lamer this show could possibly get...UNTIL NEXT TIME!! IM OUT LIKE A BRESSEL SPROUT!!! Oh yea...I give this show TWO FINS DOWN!! How did YOU feel about the episode?!?!
