Wale: Artistic Integrity

Wale (pronounced Wah-Lay) is a rapper from Washington, DC. Wale stands for "We Aint Like Everyone" and with him Fusing DC’s homegrown go-go genre with a streetwise Northern hip-hop sensibility, Wale takes samples from all genres together with lyrical dexterity.

Wale was born to Nigerian immigrant parents in Washington, DC. He grew up on Peabody Street in Northwest DC and moved to Largo, Maryland as a teenager. He attended seven different high schools in Washington, D.C. and Maryland, finally graduating from Quince Orchard High School in 2001. Wale went to further his education at Morris Brown College and Virginia State University on football scholarships. Other tracks that I feel are worth of listening is Nike Boots as well as W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E which was performed at the 2007 MTV awards. In 2008 Wale was signed Interscope. I thikn he brings a different vibe to the game that we need right now...Another Nemo approved artist I suppose. Here is his track Artistic Integrity...hope you enjoy!
