Question of the Day

So the question of the day is Why would you remove someone from your facebook account? I just wanna hear your feelings on the subject matter? I do not think I have personally, cause its not that serious...lol! But, you may have other reasons...SPEAK ON IT...

  1. Well, I was dating this crazy ass nigga my freshman year! He was cool at first and all sweet and stuff but started gettin a little too overprotective! He started showing up to the crib, checking my phone, and facebook and stuff...and I had to change up all that stuff...phone number, moved out of the dorm, and I removed him or really I blocked that nigga from my facebook account so he could never see it again! I heard he left to USF...thank God!! lol!

  2. people get deleted cause theyre stalkers, or they do something stupid, or the friendship is ended, or watever.....i prefer either making stuff private for these people or limitin their profile viewing privilage
this is smarter because its better to keep your enemys close!!...you can avoid someone when you know exactly where they are

but my crazy friends make a game of deleting people off their facebook friends list....
for instance......if i put a status like "i get stacks!!"...something so simple yet so ignorant, they will selete you....lol....simply because your comment was foolish in their eyes.

but if you have a problem with someone, keep them as your friend...i say u poke them every now and again.....jk....dont start trouble....but u never know what might happen

  3. I just remove people who I realize that I do not talk to...like why the fuck am I gonna be friends with people I dont talk to...im not some insecure ass little girl who needs a whole bunch of friends under my belt...so if I dont know em...see ya!

  4. I've never really had a problem with any of my people on Facebook, so the few times I've deleted someone is people I don't speak to, and can't even recall why we were "facebook friends". Basic rule, if I've never seen you in real life, or spoken to you face to face, and still don't even speak to you on the FB...then you get deleted.

  8. well i really dont delete people...but I have been deleted before. The first one was by my ex and it was because when he logged onto facebook all my facebook activities popped up on his mini-feed and it was right after spring break so i had just put up a shit load of pics of me and my friends in bathing suits...i dont think the new girlfriend liked that...when he told me *because I asked him why he deleted me of course* he told me that his girlfriend made him do it...I laughed...The second time was another dude who deleted me and I actually didnt know that he deleted me until he told my friend about it and she told me. Went to the facebook, typed in the name in the search bar and *no surprise there* the name didnt come up...Once again i laughed because well, I didnt do anything to this guy for him to delete me. what was even more hilarious was the fact that this guy always seemed to be far more interested in what i was doing and saying, than i was in his activities so him deleting me seemed to be pointless and immature but it be like that sometimes lol

anyways moral of the story is its not that serious to delete people on facebook, especially if the other person doesnt care that you deleted them in the first place...if the person is harrassing or stalking you then fine but other than that who cares?

  9. How many people actually even hold conversations with their so-called facebook friends? I mean, really. Sometimes I just smh bc it seems so pointless sometimes.

  11. I might talk to a few people on facebook...but I have talk to a lot more people because of facebook chat...but I mean who has the time to really communicate with all there friends...so I mean I wouldnt delete them...unless they were doing some of the crazy shit I have been reading above...

  12. All I'm saying is what's the point of having them as friends if you don't talk to them?

  13. I get a notification every time someone deletes me as a friend (lame right?), but most of the times it's because they deleted their facebook profile altogether.

Every once in a while I go through and delete people I have either never talked to, are annoying and I'm not interested in what they say/do (but facebook's "hide" button works quite well for them now), or people who I feel may be spies.

I have facebook lists called "restricted" and "professional" and people people in there as needed who don't need to see my full profile. Professional for example can't see my wall posts or photos and some personal info under the info tab.

Slow down, b4 u wreck out shawty! but, I know I friend a lot of random chicks because they be sexy as hell...and I look through they photo's so that they not just trying to put up a sexy profile pic when they ugly in all the other ones...

you know what im talking about...they wanna put up body shots and shit...shots of they fat ass when they faced look like s smooshed in pizza!! And to u females with the misleading facebook pics!! CUT THAT SHIT OUT!?!?! Nemo, stop they ass!! tell em stop!! please!!!

  17. Sometimes it's necessary to unfriend exes when you realize that you are constantly keeping tabs on them. It's freeing!

  18. LMBO!!! WOW! Dat Dude is wilin... "smooshed in pizza" lol
But I know I unfriend people because:
    1. They don't go to UF and I don't know them from Miami.
    2. They write creepy things under my pics and facebook chat me everytime I get on the computer and ask personal questions.
I know I'm not gonna all my "friends" but creepy guys are for MySpace lol

  19. Wow, glad to not have any of these situations happen to me... or at least to the best of my knowledge! If someone's stalking me, oh well... at least I don't know about it lol.

But to "anonymous" up a few comments above me, that professional and restricted thing is a good idea! Cuz you know job scouts look at people's profiles, and there's always people that you want to keep as friends, but you still need to keep them at a safe distance...

Either way Nemo, this question was a good one, keep em coming!

  20. Yes ma'am, I have even previous employers and other professional contacts that are now on facebook and I don't just downright reject their friend request. I simply add them to the professional grouping and everything is nice and neat (or so it appears) lol.

  21. I didn't delete people from my page until I found out I had a spy reporting my fb activity to my boyfriend's ex, who then called and harassed my bf.. gotta delete people to get away from the crazies sometimes, and since there's no way to figure out who the snitch was, I had to delete everyone I didn't care about.
Then there's the people who you meet at the club who go home and facebook you. You check out their page after sobering up and delete them as quickly as possible before they show up at your window.
And last but not least, there's the people that lived on your floor freshman year (or anyone in general) who are too boring to check up on.. if you aren't interested in fb stalking them at least once to see what they're up to, delete them!
