Once Upon A Time...

Its been a few days since I been blogging so this is like self relieving...the blog is all I have to talk to at times ya know...i.e captains log...ah...well, moving on...

Once upon a time music was real good! The trash we support today is truly no ones fault but the fans (word to Wale not whale...but Wall-ay) ya feel me! I was jammin to some Beatnuts, Black Moon earlier so my thoughts went racing on good hip hop music!!

And I am not super duper hip hop head where I can tell you line for line of every RUN DMC song, year, and album...but, I just know music was good when Tribe Called Quest was banging out hits! I got inspired through a DJ/brother from another mother DJ Fathertime!! He use to sit me down and spin his vinyls (yes, the big cd thangs) for me listening to real hip hop and telling me about how things use to be back in the day! So basically, I am not attacking new school...just saying that I miss the old school ya know!

Around this time I just was beginning my interest of rapping and I steered away from the new hip hop heads that were influencing me at the time like Freeway and a lot of the Roc La Familia and then started looking into where hip hop came from. FYI a Jamaican DJ started hip hop! Any who here is a track out of the many tracks that are classics in the hip hop vault!!!
