Hov’s been on the Radii tip lately, but when Nike gives you a shot to do a shoe, you jump on it—no matter who you are. In conjuction with the World Basketball Festival, Jay-Z will perform at Radio City Music Hall tonight, August 12. The sneakers come into play in that Jay got with Nike to produce a limited edition collection of Air Force 1s that were inspired by the WBF. How limited? Nike has donated the shoes to the Shawn Carter Scholoarship Foundation who hooked up with eBay (they’re already going for $610-$1k) where five pairs will be auctioned off with all the proceeds going to the Shawn Carter Scholorship Foundation.
