Why are you soooo busy?!?!? I feel like people just be throwing out this term at all the wrong times...
What is this arbitrary busy-ness that you have established for yourself that seems to be on this level that no one man/woman can understand...
But, maybe you are busy. Maybe, you are grinding it out all 12 hours of your day or however many hours you grind it out for. You work/go to school/involved/studying/girlfriend/etc. etc. But if you are one of these people you can defend the term "busy" and explain why people just need to understand that and keep it moving...
But just know that "YOU ALWAYS MAKE TIME FOR THE THINGS YOU WANT TO DO" no matter how busy you get...so...hey, maybe certain things just are not worth your time!

i feel like my busy-ness is one of those that other pepople can't understand especially if they don't have the same schedule. I'm an architecture major and everything revolve around my studio (when i eat, when i sleep, if i sleep, when i go to work, when i shower, when i do work for other classes...) That's my #1 priority and since it takes a lot of time other aspects of my life become more or less nonexistent. And this goes back to what you said "certain things just are not worth your time" and not everyone is always gonna understand but you know what that's just the way it is. Literally i b grindin 24/7 for 80% of a semester but that's my reality and my priority cuz im a senior and i got GRE, portfolio, grad school applications...But at the end of the day your "true friends" will always understand without you ever having to explain.

ReplyDeleteI dont think it would be anything to stress about if they do it alot (in regards to being busy) but if they always do it and you NEVER get to talk to them then its a problem cause if they were really feeling u they would make the time for u...

I can sympathize with the term busy. Dance majors (I'm a major) basically have no lives, especially if you have rehearsals almost every night, ballet early the next morning, not to mention the HW you have to do (papers, studying for other academic classes, etc), plus work on top of that... you live, sleep, eat, study, in the dance building, and there's somedays you don't leave until nighttime, only to go home and do HW on top of that. But even though I am that busy, I still make time for the things I really want to do... which is why I hate when people use this excuse. If I really want to go out on Friday night, I know I get my HW and studying done on Saturday so I can go to work on Sunday. If I really want to see a certain someone, I make sure that my stuff gets done, or I either put it off for another day. While there are people that are really that busy, I don't understand why you would stretch yourself that thin... you at least have a day off, or a couple of hours a day to yourself.

I can agree with the people above me... people claim they're always busy, but then you find out they're only "busy" when it comes to hanging out with you.
