So I bring you the "Talapia and Fries" story. Here we go! So I was supposed to be cooking with someone or tried to cook with someone cause I dread cooking alone cause nothing comes our right except for my cheesecakes or what not. Nothing I have baked as flopped but everything else takes a different page in life.

So First I my first batch of rice didnt come out to happy I had to "DASH IT WEH" thats patois for "throw it away." Then I copped some canned corn the other day and was like perfect I will use that as a side...wait, wait, let me back track and tell you what happened to the talapia, tilapia. Whatever tomato tomato. Anywho, so I seasoned it and did all that fly shhh and then I put it in the oven about 30 minutes in I realized I forgot the "bread crumbs" right major epic fail lol! So I was like I will pull it out add the breadcrumbs and leave it in there a little longer. Then the tilapia was cooked so it was nice and tender and kind of broke apart as I was making it. So yea, then the corn part I thought I had normal corn but I had sweet corn so I was confused and threw it away lol! But as I cook this second batch of rice I figured if it didnt come out right that I would have french fries as a side. You know french fries is a side at like denny's and ihop right?!?! so yea, the french fries are in the oven and I have been blogging for a while so hopefully I have not burnt the fries. Alright everyone Im out!

Whats good world so you are probably asking whats been up with the cooking world...

Well you know I been on my baking game and been on my cheesecake grind (red velvet and chocolate cheesecake). I am also no longer burning rice which is cool so I am really happy about that! And I dont know what else I wanna cook but its all about whatever comes my way and whoever wants to work with me to help me be a better chef! I am hoping to dabble into a little cornmeal porridge (random note) and n e other Jamaican dishes I can think of...Jerk, Oxtail (which was one the dishes that I have made as well), dumplin etc. etc.

But cooking is actually pretty fun and I am mad that I was not doing this since my freshman year but things were a lot harder on campus as oppose to being off campus. And cooking is not as hard as I imagined even though I am still effin up but I am getting the swing of things. I am now incorporating sides and other little things with my dishes now to spicen things up!

Speaking of spices my seasoning cabinet is getting up there...Got a lil paprika, got a lil italian, some basil, some salt N peppa (ahhh push it), some creole seasoning and so on and so forth!

but yea if you got any suggestions of dishes, seasonings, tips or advice, or if you wanna buy the stuff and teach me how to cook or vice versa...holla at ya boi! but yea chef boy r neems is out dis bih! Ordering out tonight cause I did not get to the store!

What up to all my fellow blog viewers! As you all know I am trying to get my cooking swagger up on a million bucks! So expect me to be talking about all my many cooking adventures whether they are GREAT OR HORRIBLE...I now realize its is an experience that I have to begin.

Do I know how to cook? Nah!!! not at all hence why I am learning lol! So I, along with my aunt back home and some friends and family and some GOOGLING I will be able to become a great chef (crosses fingers). Funny thing, my dad is a chef and asked me before if I wanted to go to Cullinary arts school but I kindly rejected the offer...But, that is another topic at hand. Moving forward: Now, I plan to be on my grind and getting into my grown phase of life in order so I can be able to cook for myself as well as my queen. Notice I did not add children to the platter and that is because I am no where near the thought or those thoughts. I want em tho, just dont want em now lol! Will I be cooking and inviting beautiful women over...eh? not quite lol! I will just be cooking and if I have friends in the vicinity then they will know via FB or TWITTER but most likely I will not be just passing out plates and box's of my dishes as I get better in this art form of cooking.

From what I hear its relatively easy and it is quite the affordable route from all this fast food action! I am trying to stray away from the millions of dollars (DRAMATIZATION) I spend on fast food daily, weekly, monthly and all that other jazz! So that is another reason I will be trying to throw down in my very own Cocina (Kitchen for you non-bilingual fans). Well, I believe thats all...

WAIT...

Well, I can let you guys know about my dishes I have made since moving into my own Apartamente (Apartment lol, but not really) Shrimp Alfriedo, Spaghetti which is a relatively easy and quick dish and now I am hoping to make some curry shrimp. Gotta start throwing the Jamaican in that cooking repertoire real quick! Ya dig! But yea, you guys will be hearing about all my many cooking accomplishments! Chea!
