Vibrations EP

Greetings fellow bloggers and readers today I bring to you "NEMO" no no silly, I am not talking about myself but a new, well not new artist, okay let me start this over lol...

Today I bring to you "Nemo" yes, there is an actual artist with the name "Nemo" its pretty crazy but its all good!

This is "Nemo's" second mixtape and with this mixtape I would say it has a good mixture of true hip hop blends and a soulful undertones (if I am even using the word in the right context) right behind it. I was sitting down listening to the mixtape with a friend and they was like "it sounds like "Q-Tip" while that is not true it does have that kind of roots/q-tip/talib/blackstar feel...And by no means am I saying he sounds like these emcees but it just served as a good comparison.

I think this mixtape has a good poetic flow behind it and not so much hardcore rap which is what I appreciate greatly because you do not here true lyricist anymore. His beats are definitely quite the compliment to his verbal capabilities as well. His producer according to twitter goes by the name of @ClutchPorter who produced a good 99.9% of Nemo's EP according to Nemo. Oh yea, here is his twitter account @nemosocean if you want to keep up with him as well.

I mean I kid you not but as soon as I turned on the mixtape and a little piece of the intro played and then the beat dropped I immediately went into a head bop! I was like "damn, this weird indian beat is kinda ridin!" and then after "the definition of cool" came on I was like yea I am just gonna let this ride out from track 1 to track 7. And yes, there are only 7 tracks which is why it is just an EP which is a bit of a tease, but what is good is that I would actually want to hear more from the artist and with this EP he definitely shows off his EMCEE skills...Alright, I am done bigging up someone who shares my same nickname...go ahead and click and enjoy you a piece of another underwater brother...

And now I bring to you "VIBRATIONS" the second disc from da kid "Nemo"

click this link for your free download ----> VIBRATIONS then you will be directed to another page and then just click FreEP which will be listed in a light blue hyperlink and then the mixtape will start to download to your computer!

Ryan Leslie - Transitions

Greetings young world,

Today I bring you Mr. "RLS" himself (if that is how its really stated) and his new album transitions. Now, let me tell you that I will blame my age or me growing as a man but this album is one of the few I have been able to listen to in the past few days. Like, I can honestly say I enjoy this album from beginning to end. It has a soulful and soothing sound and can definitely be played from beginning to end and not feel the need to get up and switch a track or two. The production on this album is phenomenal. I mean he is his own producer for the album so costs are cut down by exponential figures. Yes, he produced EVERY SINGLE TRACK! Gotta commend the young man on that and yes it has been done before by Chicago's own Kanye West and Virginia native Tim Mosely (TImbaland) and the list continues of course. But, this album is a great listen and definitely worthy of having in your cd collection. And I will say that this album should get thrown in BEST COLLECTION of the DECADE! Thanks...and do not take my excitement and catch an attitude like "THIS ALBUM BETTA BE THAT GOOD" cause everyone's taste is different. I can just appreciate this dude and what he is doing right now!

Go buy, download, limewire it or whatever you gotta do for it just go get the album, steal it from your lil cousin or something! If you know good music then you would like this album if you "think" you know good music then this post is not even for you. But yea, I am going back to enjoy this album!

If you do not like the album SPEAK ON IT, If you like SPEAK ON IT, I wont take it as hating just an OPINION ya know...Everyone is different. But I know I am putting this album over a few others that came out this year mos definitely.

And honestly I have heard this dudes work before but just did not know who he was an confused him for someone else...So I just want to sincerely apologize for that lmao! But yea, I was once blind but now I see! And here is a little goodie below! Merry New Year! lol!

ENJOY THIS VIDEO OF HIM MAKING "ADDICTION" FEAT. CASSIE

Albert Einstein of Hip Hop: Lil Wayne and the Rebirth

(Taps Microphone): "Is this thing on" (Hits play on the youtube video entitled Prom Queen) Lil Wayne I take my hat off to you for this one!! A rock n roll album?!?!? Are you serious?!?! That has to be theeeeeee SMARTEST thing in the world in my opinion!! One of the biggest rap moguls to come in the game and now he will continue amongst the innovators (referring to Kanye West and 808's and Heartbreaks)and attempt to do what only a few has done before (cant forget Run DMC Rock This Way!!) The album will be called the "Rebirth" and it was supposed to drop on April 7th but got pushed back to May 19th according to his publicist that made the statement to MTV. Hip Hop is definitely evolving and who better than to have a handful in this occurrence than Mr. Tummy Sucker (who came out with P-Monster after dating the Baddest One...lmao!!)(She had it all figured out...singing the song...lol!) A few rumored artist to feature amongst this album is FALL OUT BOYS and Avril Lavigne but no word has been given as to song titles and things of that nature (she was a skater boy, i said see ya later boy).

The track that he has debuted off the Album is entitled Prom Queen and this track was first debuted on the Jimmy Kimmel Live...(Now, we go into the video in itself) Starting with Wayne's live performance, it continues with a scene where he is turned down by a girl he loves. Lil Wayne plays as a NERD throughout the video (even tho he has dreads and the only nerdy thing about him is the Bifocals he wears in the video) and its intriguing because the girl he loves is off pursuing other guys and not giving Wayne an ounce of a chance to make his move. (one time for the lovers that never get that lucky girl, whether she really is lucky or not...u feel me) As Lil Wayne is being showed progressing in his rap career the young lady who he loved life is flashing before her eyes...She ends up being pregnant while Wayne is Toppiong charts and has become the CEO of Young Money Ent. As she is shown rocking a stroller with the baby inside Wayne's Carter III album goes multi-platinum...and later on to sweep the 2009 Grammy Awards...By the ending of the video the "Prom Queen" is seen at Wayne's concert reaching for him and grabbing for him while he is on stage (typical hood rat...back then they aint want em, no he hot they all on him). He ignores her and then kisses another girl (now some may say dang Lil Wayne thats Trife..but if it was the other way around it would be "You get it girl!!") Karma is a you know what...

My only fear is that Lil Wayne is pulling a serious Kanye right now and my question is will the world of Hip Hop embrace him with open arms or look at him with the screw face!?!?!? Or if this flops I guess he can come out with the Carter 5 and go multi-platinum again (even tho Baby says this is not a "ROCK ALBUM" so maybe the world just got it twisted because of Prom Queen" and reporters are also saying the album is "Rock Themed"). Well hopefully he comes out on top and dont flop like the Patriots did when they played the giants in the 2008 Playoff Games or get a major upset like Arizona did playing the Steelers. Hopefully, this album wont end up being below zero degrees and that his lights dont get turned out and all those barenzo's and Yokohama tires will be left in a bitter sweet memory of what was his career...Which may be a little extreme...Im sure his career will be fine...But at least if this flops he still has Drake!!! lol!! Aww well I digress...Check out the new vid "Prom Queen" and I will keep you posted as the Album approaches...
